Tombstone, Arizona

February 17, 2018 by Michael

Tombstone, Arizona is in Cochise County and was one of the last boomtowns in the American Frontier. Silver was discovered and the population soared from about 100 to 14,000 in the 1800s. There were 110 saloons, 14 gambling halls, and numerous brothels.

South Padre Island, Texas

December 23, 2017 by Michael

South Padre Island, Texas is at the southern tip of the state. Our changes in latitudes brought us to 26 degrees north, which is about the same as West Palm Beach, Florida where my brother Jeff lives. We are further south of San Diego, CA which has a latitude of 32.7. Its that time of year when many are busy shopping and multicolored holiday lights are everywhere. We found a Christmas Tree made from recycled beach sandals.
