Riviera, Texas is by Baffin Bay, south of Corpus Christi. It was a 4 hour drive from Spring Branch. The landscape changed from live oak trees and hills to flat coastal topography with grassland and mesquite trees.
San Antonio, Texas
After spending a week in a remote region of Texas Hill Country, it was nice to stay in Spring Branch near San Antonio, Texas and enjoy the perks of a city….Costco, restaurants, shopping, and HEB.
Frio River, Texas
The Frio River is spring fed and has cool crystal clear water with a consistent flow. It is a popular summertime destination, particularly at Garner State Park.
Texas Hill Country
Texas Hill Country is where many of Texas’s best wineries are located. Its west of Austin and considered the beginning or end of the Southwest.
Waco, Texas
We stayed in Waco, Texas for a couple of nights on our way to Texas Hill Country for wine tasting.
Grapevine, Texas
Its November and time to migrate south for the winter. This year we decided on Texas and Arizona. We headed to Grapevine, Texas. After spending a month traveling to and having work done on our motorhome in Nappanee, Indiana it felt good to head south to warmer weather. The fall colors were spectacular and we enjoyed autumn in the midwest.
